Exterior features specific to the Black Series include a vented hood, wider fender flares, and revised bumper covers, and this example is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic with a black front splitter, rear diffuser, side skirts, and rear wing. Additional exterior details include bi-xenon headlights with Active Curve Illumination as well as a panoramic sunroof, tinted windows, a rearview camera, and quad exhaust outlets. There is a dent behind the driver’s door handle and a blemish on the right side skirt. A June 2018 entry on the Carfax report notes minor damage to the rear of the car.
Staggered-width 19″ AMG forged alloy wheels are finished in gray with machined-silver faces and are mounted with 255/35 front and 285/30 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The Black Series features a wider front and rear track, stiffer springs, larger anti-roll bars, adjustable spring perches, and two-way adjustable dampers. The AMG Performance Braking System includes red-finished AMG-branded calipers mounted over cross-drilled and slotted rotors. A dent and scratches on the right-front wheel are depicted in the gallery.
The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats along with the individual rear seats are trimmed in black leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts and red stitching. Additional appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, carbon-fiber trim, Keyless-Go, auto-dimming mirrors, AMG-logo floor mats, and COMAND infotainment with navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, satellite radio, and a Harman Kardon sound system.
The leather- and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel is equipped with aluminum shift paddles, and it fronts AMG instrumentation consisting of a 200-mph speedometer with an inset digital display as well as an 8k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 69k miles, approximately 48k of which were added under current ownership. Worn steering-wheel buttons can be viewed in the gallery.
The 6.2-liter M156 V8 features a recalibrated ECU, a lightened crankshaft, and forged pistons and connecting rods, and an aftermarket Weistec exhaust system is said to have been added. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The differential fluid was changed in October 2022, and the engine oil was most recently changed in March 2023.
