The car left the factory finished in Bright Blue Metallic (88) and was stripped, sandblasted, and repainted by Olson’s Auto Body under previous ownership in 2005. The trim and chrome were also refinished during the refurbishment, and additional equipment includes a vented hood, sport stripes, quad headlamps, dual mirrors, and dual polished exhaust outlets. Magnum 500–style 15″ wheels were mounted with Firestone redline tires in anticipation of the sale. The car is equipped with the heavy-duty suspension package, and stopping power is provided by unassisted drum brakes at all four corners.
The cabin features blue pattered vinyl upholstery over bucket-style front seats as well as a rear bench. Equipment includes a heater, a center console, a locking glovebox, and a Plymouth Transaudio AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a rectangular 150-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. An optional tachometer is mounted forward of the shifter. The five-digit odometer indicates 82k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
The 440ci Super Commando V8 was overhauled during the refurbishment and was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Induction is handled by a four-barrel carburetor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission and a Dana rear end with a 3.54:1 gear ratio and a Sure Grip differential. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.
A copy of the window sticker lists delivery to J. Truett Payne, optional equipment, and a total price of $3,715.70. A service manual, a CertiCard, Chrysler Registry records, a decoding sheet from Galen Govier, and an owner’s manual are also included in the sale. More than 110 pages of records dated between 2004 and 2006 are viewable in the gallery.
