Polished 17″ Halibrand-style wheels are secured using knock-off spinners and wear 275/40 front and 315/35 rear BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KO tires that were reportedly mounted in 2007. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with Wilwood calipers, and the car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension with adjustable coilovers as well as front and rear sway bars.
The fixed-back bucket seats are trimmed in black leather upholstery and are complimented by a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door trim. Additional equipment includes four-point DJ Safety harnesses, translucent sun visors, a chrome-finished fire extinguisher, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and Superformance-branded floor mats. The locking glovebox door bears the signature of Carroll Shelby.
The wood-rim steering wheel features a Superformance-logo center emblem and fronts Smiths instrumentation including a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges displaying oil temperature, water temperature, amperage, fuel level, and oil pressure. A replacement Smiths speedometer with a five-digit mechanical odometer was installed in preparation for the sale and shows 2 miles. The removed speedometer showing 2,700 miles is included in the sale.
The aluminum block 427ci FE V8 was stroked to displace 482ci by Keith Craft Racing Engines of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and was assembled using an Edelbrock intake manifold and cylinder heads as well as a Quick Fuel carburetor with an electric choke, a Comp Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, and an MSD ignition system. Dyno test results and records detailing additional engine specifications are provided in the gallery below. The oil was changed in June 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission and a Dana limited-slip differential with 3.46:1 gearing.
Assembly records will accompany the car along with spare parts including a soft top with side windows, a tonneau cover, a car cover, an additional steering wheel, and a bright air cleaner cover.
