The 599 rides on an aluminum chassis with a semi-active magnetorheological suspension system, while stopping power is provided by red-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled carbon-ceramic rotors at all four corners.
The power-adjustable Daytona-style seats are upholstered in black leather with red contrast stitching and are complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, center console, and rear shelf. Carbon-fiber trim adorns the dash, center console, seats, and door panels, and additional equipment includes dual-zone automatic climate control as well as power windows and locks. Sticky interior buttons were reportedly repaired in preparation for the sale.
The steering wheel features perforated leather, carbon-fiber accents, and LED shift lights along with an engine start button and a manettino dial to control driving settings. Instrumentation consists of a central yellow-dial 10k-rpm tachometer, a 220-mph speedometer, and a configurable LCD screen. The digital odometer indicates 4,500 miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The 6.0-liter F140 C V12 produced 612 horsepower and 448 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an F1 SuperFast electrohydraulic sequential transaxle.
