Silver-finished steel wheels wear bright hubcaps and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners, which were re-lined and re-arced in 2017. Replacement Koni shocks were also installed at that time, the steering box cover was resealed, and the pitman arm shaft seal replaced.
The cabin is equipped with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black with red piping, along with a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Appointments include red carpets, black rubber floor mats, hand-crank side windows, lap belts, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, and a cabin heater. The blower motor was refurbished and wiring repaired in 2017. Imperfections on the dash are pointed out by the seller in the gallery.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation that includes a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 1.3L twin-cam inline-four is equipped with a single Solex carburetor and was rebuilt by Cardelli Motorsports of San Mateo, California in 2017. Additional work performed by Canepa at that time included cleaning and refurbishing the fuel system, rebuilding the water pump, tuning the carburetor, and repairing the throttle linkage, as well as replacing the choke and throttle cables, generator, and engine mounts. The carburetor needle valve was replaced during current ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, which was rebuilt during the mechanical refresh. The clutch fork bushings and throw-out bearing were also replaced, while the driveshaft and differential were cleaned and repainted. A replacement pinion seal was also fitted, along with replacement rear bearings and seals.
