Turbine -style 15″ are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Dark Blue vinyl (490A) as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a Kenwood CD stereo mounted in the jack storage compartment, a heater, and lap belts. The analog clock does not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 82k miles, approximately 14k of which were added under current ownership.
The 327ci V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, carburetor, and air cleaner assembly. A stainless-steel exhaust system is fitted.
The engine serial number stamp reads 110842, which matches the last six digits on the car’s serial number plate. The RC suffix corresponds with a 250-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with a manual transmission. Additional stamps and casting numbers are pictured in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
