Body-color 15″ steel wheels wear trim rings as well as center caps and are mounted with 275/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. The truck is equipped with power-assisted steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. Suspension components include upper and lower control arms and a front sway bar sourced from Classic Performance Products, as well as red powder-coated front coil springs and Monroe shock absorbers at all four corners.
The cab features a split bench seat upholstered in black with gray inserts as well as a fold-down console and lap belts. The doors and dashboard are finished in body-color gray, and additional equipment includes rubber floor coverings, gloss-black door panels and dash trim, GMC-branded sill plates, a Bluetooth-capable RetroSound stereo, an under-dash OBD port, and a heater. The aluminum pedal set has a “64” inscription on the brake pedal and “GMC” on the accelerator pedal.
Replacement AutoMeter instrumentation is housed in a custom panel containing various supplier logos and consists of a tachometer, a 200-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows less than 1k miles, all of which have been added under current ownership. True chassis mileage is unknown.
The replacement 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was reportedly sourced from a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. Components include an Entropy aluminum radiator, an LS-swap wiring harness, a Walbro fuel pump, and an Edelbrock fuel filter. The fuel tank and fuel lines were replaced during the refurbishment.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a rebuilt 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission and a Dana 44 rear axle with a 4.10:1 gearset and an Eaton Truetrac locker. Speed Engineering exhaust components consist of headers, 3″ piping, and mufflers.
