Silver-finished 15″ ventilated steel wheels wear chrome covers with Porsche crests and are mounted with 185/60 Vredestein Quatrac tires showing 2021 production date codes. A matching spare wheel and tire are stored in the front trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Work during the refurbishment is said to have included installing a double master cylinder, rebuilding the calipers, and replacing the brake lines and pads.
The front bucket seats and folding rear seats are upholstered in black leather complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Brushed metal trim accents the dashboard, and additional equipment includes a locking glovebox, lap seatbelts, and rubberized floor liners. The seller states the rear seat bottoms have been reupholstered, the Blaupunkt radio is inoperative, and the dome lights are disconnected due to an undiagnosed electrical draw.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level and engine temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 29k miles, approximately 300 of which were added during current ownership. True mileage is unknown. The seller states the clock is not accurate.
The air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four was factory rated at 90 horsepower and 91 lb-ft of torque and features dual Solex carburetors. The engine is said to have been overhauled during the refurbishment, with work including honing the cylinders, rebuilding the cylinder heads, and replacing the piston rings, fuel pump, fuel lines, and spark plug wires.
The engine is stamped with 754820, which matches the engine number noted on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and the Warranty Policy page within the service book. Additional drivetrain stamps and casting numbers are displayed in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch and pressure plate were reportedly replaced during the refurbishment. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists factory colors, options, and a production completion date of April 11, 1967. A tool kit, jack, a replacement tonneau cover, a storage bag for the Targa top, an owner’s manual, and partial service records accompany the car.
