The body was removed from the frame, the roof was lowered, and the door bottoms were repaired as part of the aforementioned refurbishment. The A-pillars were widened and repositioned and the body was smoothed prior to a repaint in PPG Calvary Blue with a gray recessed hood and orange pinstriping. The tucked and trimmed bumpers are finished in light gray, while the front lip spoiler and rear license plate holder are finished in dark gray. Further exterior details include C7-sourced door handles with actuators, LED headlights and taillights, and Lokar Goolsby Edition dual exhaust finishers that exit through the rear bumper. Custom front and rear tinted glass are flush mounted and the factory door window vents were removed in lieu of custom single-piece tinted glass. The recessed grille features a mesh insert custom-fabricated by Alumicraft of Bellwood, Pennsylvania.
The bed frame was raised, replacement bed panels were fitted, and the bed pockets were filled and smoothed. Custom-fabricated rear tubs were raised and widened to accommodate larger rear wheels, while a 10″ hump provides space for the rear axle. The custom-fabricated tailgate features a Chevrolet-branded aluminum strip machined by Alumicraft, and it is equipped with custom pins and leather straps. The custom body line is shaped into the bottom of the tailgate which rolls into the bedsides. A matte-finish was applied to the body-color metal surfaces, and black boat decking material lines the floors. A fuel filler is located at the rear of the bed.
Silver-finished 19″ and 20″ Billet Specialities Hydro wheels feature polished lips and are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 255/35 up front and 345/30 out back. A Roadster Shop Slammed Spec Series full chassis replaces the factory frame and is fitted with Strange Engineering coilovers, Hyperco springs, a four-link rear suspension setup, power rack-and-pinion steering, tubular upper and lower control arms, and heavy-duty sway bars. Stopping power is provided by orange Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors. A Wilwood primary brake cylinder and a power-operated emergency brake system were also installed.
The interior was refurbished by Bux Customs of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, with design cues from Eric Brockmeyer Design. The custom-fabricated bucket seats are upholstered in Hydes gray leather with white stitching and are accompanied by a color-coordinated one-piece headliner and black carpeting. Sound deadening material lines the cabin, and the Camaro-style dashboard is finished in gray with Toyota Tacoma-sourced knobs as well as Ford Explorer-sourced air vents linked to a Vintage Air climate control system. Clayton Machine door handles have been fitted, and the center console houses a push-button starter, a Lokar shifter, power window switches, Silverado-sourced cupholders, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo. The truck is equipped with keyless entry, and a power cut-off switch has been installed.
A Billet Specialties three-spoke Hydro steering wheel sits on an Ididit tilt column with billet levers and fronts Dakota Digital instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 10 miles, which is said to reflect the distance traveled since the build. Total mileage is unknown.
The inner fenders, wheel tubs, and radiator support were fabricated, and the firewall was smoothed and modified prior to a repaint in blue with a matte finish. The Chevrolet Performance 6.3-liter LS3 V8 is topped with a Magnuson supercharger and features a General Motors electronic fuel injection system. Additional equipment includes a Concept One pulley system, a custom-fabricated air intake and aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, a Holley oil pan, and orange-finished Clayton Machine valve covers with Billet inlays and carbon-fiber trim. The hood is held open with Ring Brothers black aluminum hinges as well as a body-color prop rod. A 2019 dynamometer test produced 548 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque at the rear wheels.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, an HD custom driveshaft, and a Strange Engineering 9” Tru-Trac rear end with 3.73:1 gearing. A transmission cooler has been installed, and the dual exhaust system features Ultimate tubular headers as well as 3″ Flowmaster mufflers. The underside has been painted blue with a matte finish, various exhaust components have been heat-wrapped, and a custom-fabricated fuel tank is located at the rear.
