Alfaholics 15″ GTA-style wheels are mounted with 195/55 Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 tires that are said to have been installed in April 2023. The car rides on Koni shocks, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with Axxis Metal Master pads. The rear sway bar has been removed, and the front upright assemblies are said to have been modified by Orion Motor Sports of Omaha, Nebraska.
The cabin features replacement black vinyl-trimmed seats that are said to have been sourced from a later model Alfa Romeo Spider. Additional appointments include retractable shoulder belts, LED interior lighting, a wooden shift knob, a fire extinguisher, a lockable glove compartment, and manual crank windows. The seller notes that the carpet is loose and the cigarette lighter and rearview mirror light are inoperative.
A wood-rimmed Personal steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation that includes a tachometer with a 5,700-rpm redline accompanied by a 140-mph speedometer as well as centrally positioned gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
Power comes from a replacement 2.0L twin-cam inline-four that is fed through dual Weber 40 DCOE carburetors with 32mm venturis. Engine modifications are said to include a big-valve cylinder head, a Centerline 11mm intake camshaft, a European-spec exhaust camshaft, 10:1 compression ratio pistons, a Wes Ingram distributor, a PerTronix electronic ignition, and a GM-sourced single-wire alternator. Paul Spruell engine mounts were reportedly installed in 2012, and the seller notes that the ground index is located away from the intake valve.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. A Paul Spruell flex disc and a limited-slip differential with 4.1:1 gearing are fitted, according to the seller. The clutch hydraulic cylinders are said to have been replaced in 2012, and the front jack points are missing.
Correspondence from Archivio Storico Alfa Romeo, manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, books, awards, a car cover, and two sets of keys are included in the sale.
A spare 140-mph speedometer, coolant temperature gauge, and ash tray will accompany the car along with Carello-branded headlight covers and various trim pieces.
