Steel 14″ wheels wear polished covers with body-color centers and are mounted with Vredestein Spring Classic tires, while a spare and floor jack are stored in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at all four corners. Work performed in June 2020 included replacing the tie rod assemblies, center drag link, steering damper, and idler arm.
The bucket seats are upholstered in brown MB-Tex and complimented by a body-color dash panel and replacement carpets. Amenities include a heater, Coco floor mats, and a Becker Europa push-button radio. The seller notes fading upholstery and a hole in the driver’s seat as well as corrosion in the trunk.
The refurbished two-spoke steering wheel wears a chrome horn ring and fronts VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 13k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 2.8-liter M130 inline-six is equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and is said to have been rebuilt by W.I. Simonson Mercedes of Santa Monica, California, in the 1990s. Work performed in September 2022 included changing the oil and replacing the spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The differential pinion seal was replaced in September 2020, while work performed in preparation for the sale included rebuilding the shift tower and replacing the shift rod bushing.
