Steel 14″ wheels feature polished trim rings with brushed hubcaps and are mounted with G78-14 BFGoodrich Silvertown narrow-whitewall tires, while a matching spare and a jack are stored in the trunk compartment. The Cyclone GT came standard with the Competition Handling Package, which consisted of heavy-duty shocks, stiffer springs, and a larger anti-roll bar. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted discs up front and drums out back.
The cabin houses hi-back front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with Comfortweave inserts accompanied by color-coordinated door panels featuring Cyclone badging. Replacement black carpeting lines the floors, and custom Cyclone-branded floor mats were added by the selling dealer. Additional appointments include a Hurst shifter, a rear window defogger, an electric clock, lap belts for five occupants, Courtesy Lights, and a Philco push-button AM radio linked to optional rear-mounted speakers.
A wood-rimmed Rim Blow steering wheel features a Cyclone horn button and fronts a horizontal-sweep 140-mph speedometer. The optional Instrumentation Group added a tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for oil pressure and engine temperature to the central dash. The five-digit odometer shows 15k miles.
The 429ci Super Cobra Jet V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-bolt main block, a model-specific intake manifold, a Holley carburetor, and an oil cooler. It was overhauled in 2022 by Nat’s Engine’s of Swansea, Massachusetts, and reportedly stroked and bored 0.080″ over to displace 533ci. The fuel pump was rebuilt, and additional equipment is said to include a 4340 Forged Steel Crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods, Auto Tec forged pistons, a COMP Cams solid roller camshaft with a custom grind, COMP Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers, and a Powermaster starter. A February 2022 dynamometer test registered 527 horsepower and 599 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, and the optional Drag Pak added a Traction-Lok rear axle with 3.91:1 gearing. A Mcleod Super Street Pro clutch kit and flywheel were installed in March 2022, and replacement dual exhaust components have been fitted.
