The car left the factory in Ivy Green Metallic (EF8) and was repainted red under previous ownership. Features include a black grille, rear wing, and tail panel as well as a power-operated white soft top with a glass rear window, a Rallye hood with securing pins, white 383 “hockey stick” stripes, fog lights, a body-color Elastomeric front bumper, and chrome rear bumperettes. Rectangular dual exhaust outlets exit through the rear lower fascia. Imperfections in the bright trim can be seen in the photo gallery below, and paint checking is noted on the front bumper.
Silver-colored 15″ Rallye wheels are mounted with 255/60 front and 295/50 rear Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T white-letter tires. A space-saver spare is stored in the trunk. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. Under current ownership, the car is reported to have been fitted with a Firm Feel power-steering box, updated rear leaf springs, front and rear sway bars, and Hotchkis shocks, and a replacement brake booster and master cylinder.
The cockpit features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white vinyl in addition to faux-wood accents. Equipment includes replacement carpeting, manual windows, a remote-operated driver-side mirror, ’Cuda-branded floor mats, and a Sony CD head unit. The selling dealer states that the air conditioning requires service and there is loose stitching on the sun visors.
The Rim Blow steering wheel features a woodgrain rim and a Barracuda logo and frames a 150-mph speedometer, a multifunction gauge, and a tachometer with an inset analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the selling dealer; true mileage is unknown. The seller reports that the tachometer and the clock work intermittently.
The 383ci V8 was fitted under previous ownership and is topped by a dual-snorkel air cleaner. The car’s chassis number indicates that it was originally equipped with a 318ci V8.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. The dual exhaust system is fitted with Thrush mufflers.
The broadcast sheet lists the car’s chassis number as well as factory colors and options, and a fender tag decoder report can be seen in the gallery below.
