The staggered-width Halibrand-style wheels are secured by three-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with Sumitomo HTR 40Z tires up front and 35Z rubber out back. The car is equipped with four-wheel independent suspension with adjustable coilovers, and the Jaguar-style rear end assembly incorporates a Watts link, quad coilovers, and inboard disc brakes. The passenger-side rear wheel hub was rebuilt in 2005.
The cabin houses fixed-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The car was optioned with a dropped floor, and additional equipment includes latch-and-link harnesses, a Safecraft fire suppression system, map pockets in both doors, and a chrome fire extinguisher mounted between the seats. The passenger-side of the dash features a Carroll Shelby signature.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel with an AC center cap sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary displays. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 28k miles.
The 427ci side-oiler V8 features a single Holley carburetor and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. The engine was rebuilt in 2005 by Only Yesterday Classic Autos of San Diego, California, during which time the alternator was also rebuilt and the cylinder heads and engine mounts were replaced. A printout from a 2005 dyno run is shown in the gallery below and indicates peak output of 453 horsepower and 496 lb-ft of torque.
